A letter to a therapist

In response, I wrote her a letter that turned into an essay about the lack of equity and parity between attitudes and treatments for mental health versus physical health conditions.

Days later, she emailed me an apology that showed she still didn’t recognize the wrongness of her statement. The kiss-off email I wrote back turned into a poem.
